It might be your first Christmas as a mum, or you might have spent a few Christmases with your baby. Either way, this time of year is usually magical and extra special but goes by too quickly. The last thing you want to do is spend hours in the kitchen cooking up a feast.


Don't worry, we've got you covered. We're sharing our Christmas menu with you. It's simple, tasty and won't break the bank.

Starter


Crab Cakes with Mango Avocado Relish


1 large egg

1/3 c. mayonnaise

1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp. sriracha

1 lb. jumbo lump crab meat, picked over for shells

20 saltines, crushed

1 lime

1 mango, peeled and finely chopped

1 Persian cucumber, cut into tiny pieces

1 small chile, seeded and finely chopped

Kosher salt

2 tbsp. olive oil

Small greens or microgreens, for serving

1/4 small avocado, cut into small pieces

2 tbsp. torn basil


Main


Beef Bourguignon







2 tbsp. olive oil

4 slices bacon, chopped

4 lb. lean brisket, trimmed and cut into 2-in. chunks

3 small onions, cut into ½-in.-thick wedges

4 large carrots, cut into 2-in. pieces

6 cloves garlic, finely chopped

2 tbsp. tomato paste

2 tbsp. all-purpose flour

3 c. dry red wine

3 c. low-sodium beef broth

sprigs fresh thyme

2 bay leaves, optional

1 tbsp. unsalted butter

10 oz. small mushrooms, quartered

kosher salt and pepper

chopped fresh parsley, for serving



Desert


No-Bake Cranberry Cheesecake


1/2 c. whole-berry cranberry sauce or preserves

1 tsp. powdered gelatin

3/4 c. heavy cream, cold

12 oz. cream cheese, softened

4 oz. fresh goat cheese, softened

1/3 c. sugar



2 tsp. vanilla extract

1/2 tsp. grated lemon zest

1/8 tsp. salt

1 ready-to-eat graham cracker crust


Cocktail


Apple Cider Sangria


2 1/2 c. apple cider

3/4 c. brandy

1/2 c. fresh clementine or orange juice

1/4 c. fresh lemon juice

1 1-in piece fresh ginger, peeled and very thinly sliced

2 tsp. orange bitters

4 clementines, thinly sliced

2 apples (Pink Lady, Honeycrisp or your favorite), very thinly sliced pomegranate seeds

1 750ml bottle Prosecco or other dry sparkling wine

Pomegranate seeds, for serving

Slices of pears, for serving
